We’ve been a bit quiet on socials but only because we’ve been super busy BTS 🙊 The team has been working really hard on delivering quality workshops to the young people of Logan. Our focus this week across our groups was green flags vs red flags 🚩 There’s been a lot of reflective conversations discussing when does compromise go too far? Can you still continue to date someone if they give you the “ick” Lots to think about.. #endDFV #relationshipviolence #youngpeople #respect #healthyrelationships #respectfulrelationships #youth #consenteducation #agentsofchange ... REPOST from Dangerous Females : Sistergirl is a term used by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to describe gender-diverse people that have a female spirit and take on female roles in the community.(Her name is not being used for cultural reasons)A 37-year-old woman was found unconscious with stab wound in her chest, officers performed CPR on arrival, but she was declared dead after paramedics arrived. This investigation being treated as a domestic violence-related death.First Nations LGBTQ+ women face even greater risks of violence, with the intersection of race, gender, and sexuality amplifying their vulnerability. Addressing the needs of First Nations LGBTQ+ women requires culturally sensitive an community-led support that acknowledges their unique experiences. This is the second woman killed in the suburb of Malak in Darwin in two months. ...
