You hear this word 'toxic masculinity' thrown around often, but what actually is it?Toxic masculinity is defined as a set of cultural and societal norms of masculinity that emphasise physical violence, aggression, emotional repression, as well as homophobic and sexist behaviour as the way men are “supposed” to act. Today is R U OK day. At R4R, this day is a reminder of what we have to do everyday. We place high importance on checking in with each-other, debriefing after every workshop, and incorporating play and silliness into every day as much as we can.
